- PREPRESS
The entire photolithic and pre-press process is managed in house. The latest software, MAC and PC graphic workstations and specialist engineers guarantee the design and creation of any type of work, from acquiring images to the preparation of certified colour tests, and from colour proofs to direct plate engraving. The completely renewed pre-press division can boast technology that is truly on the cutting edge: Heidelberg Tango drum scanner, Fogra digital colour proof certification, X-Rite spectrophotometer and relative profiling software, 5 electronic imposition stations, 2 Rip Harlequin and 1 Rip Adobe on Esko Graphics Backstage, digital proofs, and file control system on Certified PDF. Customised engraving curves for each single printing machine and CIP3 to guarantee maximum work quality, colour workflow based on ICC Profiles calculated according to Input/Output peripherals with the possibility for simulation for Remote Color Proof and Soft Proof. The entire production cycle of the pre-press division centres around Certified PDF through Gutenweb net-workflow, and includes the Color Management System module for ICC Profile automatic application, with the possibility to loan Gutenweb Server Client to customers for fast and automatic creation of Certified PDFs, thereby preventing unpleasant problems during the production stages. A mixed MAC and Windows network, web server for rapid data exchange, and a server for fast, safe data exchange that can be activated in just a few minutes and used without the need for additional software. And the end result? Better quality, less time and limited costs. What is more, thanks to the Internet and to broad band connections, the pre-press division at D'Auria Printing is always "on line" to meet customer requirements, and ready to send, receive and manage images and data.
- Web Server This is an interactive, two-directional area that is at the complete disposal of our customers. It is a simple and functional yet advanced service that needs no special application - you can upload your files directly onto our server through any browser. It allows file uploads to be tracked, and the creation of an immediate and protected personalised user area. Access codes, which are strictly personal, are created through an algorithm generator and this means that nobody except you will be able to access your reserved area.
When you register, our system will identify an “administrator” for your reserved area, who will be fully aware of the files up- and downloaded in their section.
- Tutor Each job is given to a tutor (job supervisor) who liaises with the individual production areas, making it possible to intervene in each critical stage of the process and to give rapid, satisfactory answers to customers.
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) The heart of our Company. A dedicated software package that links every division within the company, from the creation of offers and bids to the delivery of materials, passing though every intermediate stage. An integrated process that guarantees our customers the certainty of being able to trace their job within the company, starting from the estimate stage. For the companies in the D’Auria Group, Enterprise Resource Planning is a system that allows them to understand and foresee any possible critical points. The final challenge is that of interfacing between estimate, technical and production divisions using JDF (Job Definition Format) to further reduce times and optimise resources, always further reducing those error margins that can be linked to the human factor.
